Certificates
These AHSA or Industry approved certificates are used to validate special hospitalisation circumstances where a higher or special health insurance benefit may be recognised and paid by a health fund.

Acute Care
Acute Care Certificates are required to be completed by a doctor for any acute hospital stays over 35 continuous days, and then every 30 days thereafter and submitted to member funds by the hospital. -
AHSA Psychiatric
The current AHSA Psychiatric Certificate for use by hospitals that have approved psychiatric services. -
AHSA Rehabilitation Admission
This certificate is to be completed for patients receiving Rehabilitation Treatment upon hospital admission. -
AHSA Rehabilitation Discharge
This certificate is to be completed for patients receiving Rehabilitation Treatment upon hospital discharge. -
CCU
This certificate is to be completed for admitted Acute Cardiac Monitoring / CCU patients -
ICU
This certificate is to be completed for patients receiving Intensive Care Treatment. -
Industry Endorsed Rehabiltation
An industry endorsed format for rehabilitation certificates which hospitals are required to provide to health funds. -
Neurosurgical Complexity
This certificate is to be completed for Neurosurgical Complexity Spinal Surgery patients. -
Special Care Nursery
The Special Care Nursery Certificate for use by all hospitals that have approved special care nursery units. -
Wound Care
A Wound Care Certificate is required to be forwarded to the patients health fund prior to discharge from hospital.
